From 16 October to 23 November refresher courses on modern
teaching methods conducted by specialists from the Institute
of Education were organized at the Baltic Information Technical
School. |

|
In September a delegation of Swedish students visited the
technical school. Russian and Swedish students discussed
different problems. They exchanged impressions of education
system in their countries. There were some interesting discussions
regarding the differences between youth cultures in their
countries. Another topic of discussion was the possibility
to arrange exchange of students. Swedish students visited
historical and cultural sites of Kaliningrad.

JUNE

|
On 30 June 2005 graduation ceremony took place at the Baltic
Information Technical School.63 students got diplomas in
specialty 'Automated data processing and control systems"
and "Computing machinery and automated system software".
5 students graduated from the technical school with honors.

JUNE

|
On 29 June, technical and financial support was provided
to the secondary school in the village of Dolgorukovo, Kaliningrad
oblast. As a result, the school had a computer room which
was connected to corporate computer network with Internet
connections. |

On 19 May 2006, "Finals", the final examinations
began for the final- year students in specialty "Automated
data processing and control systems" and "Computing
machinery and automated system software".

On 13 May, the technical school had the day of "open
doors". On that day many applicants visited the school.
They had a splendid opportunity to ask a lot of questions
regarding the prospects of development of the technical
school. A number of questions were asked about the admission
to the school..

APRIL
|
|
On 25 April, a contest between teams representing 3 secondary
professional education institutions was held in the Baltic
Information Technical School. The challenge: Programming
and Information Technology.

|
On April 2006, the Minister of Education of Kaliningrad
oblast N. Sherrey made study/ evaluation visit to the technical
school where she met the teaching staff. In consequence,
the prospects for the development of the technical school
and cooperation activities were discussed.

-9 APRIL
|
|
8-9 April, V.Gerasimenko, the head of the Federal Scientific
Research Institute for Information Security visited the
technical school. In 2005 the technical school planned to
launch a new specialty-"Information Security".
To facilitate the development of the new specialty, the
technical school began to cooperate closely with the Scientific
Research Institute for Information Security.

In March 2006, the technical school received
the representatives from many educational establishments:
the Kaliningrad State University, Baltic State Academy
of Fishing Fleet; Kaliningrad military Institute of the
Federal Frontier Service as well as representatives of
the Kaliningrad Regional Administration at the Government
of the Russian Federation. The specialists who visited
the technical school could see at first hand the logistics
and method of teaching related to the new specialty- "Information
Security" They were very pleased with the results
of the work performed by the expert group of the Baltic
Information Technical School. Professor E.Belov emphasized
that the educational level of the Baltic Information Technical
School differs favorably elsewhere in Russia.
